After taking hope the top honors tonight at the 2012 Brit Music Awards, HitsDD published the sales numbers for the week and ooboyy did Adele clean up.  In what marks the largest post Grammy sales increase pretty much ever, Adele sold 716,000 copies of her mega hit album “21″ this week.  She also also broke the record for the most weeks at #1 on top of the Billboard Top 200.  The numbers also mark the highest number of copies sold per week since it’s release. “21” has now sold over 7 Million copies in the US. Adele also appears at the number 4 position with her debut album “19” selling 86,000 additional copies.

Coming in second is Whitney Houston’s Whitney – The Greatest Hit’s with 170,000  following the iconic singers death last week.  Bruno Mars jumped back into the top 10 with D00-Wops & Hooligans selling 37,000.
