Big Boi Talks Diddy Directing the “Player’s Ball” Video and Usher Being in the Dungeon Family

Here’s some good ol’ knowledge being kicked for you rap nerds. Big Boi (literally) sat down with the morning show on Hot97 and talked about some the earlier days of OutKast, including their influences and why OutKast’s album came out first before Goodie Mob’s. But the real gems happen when Big mentions that Puff actually directed the “Player’s Ball” video, which is interesting because 1) wait…what?? and 2) Bad Boy and LaFace were huge competitors at the time. That’s actually Puffy’s Jesus piece necklace that Andre 3000 has on in the video. Big Boi also lets it slide that Usher was a part of the Dungeon Family as a young’in.
