This Nardwuar Interview with Flying Lotus Proves You Need Famous Family Members To Become a Famous Musician
Nobody cares, but I met Flying Lotus last night. Anyway, Nardwuar’s latest interview is with the LA-based producer, and in it they discuss some of FlyLo’s famous family members like John Coltrane, Marilyn McCleod (who wrote Freda Payne’s “I Get High on Your Memories”, later sampled on Styles P “Good Times”) and some more that were involved in the early stages of Motown. It’s kind of like how the LMFAO guys are the son and grandson of Barry Gordy. Sorry folks. It looks like you’ll need famous family members to become famous today.
