Chris Lighty Tribute with Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Fat Joe + A Tribe Called Quest (Video)
Probably the best thing about this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, or really any of the previous years’ shows, was tonight’s Chris Lighty tribute. After a quick spoken intro from LL Cool J, the tribute included performances from A Tribe Called Quest, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Missy Elliott, and Busta Rhymes, with Funkmaster Flex at the turntables. It was a fitting tribute from artists, whose careers Chris had such a significant hand in guiding. R.I.P. Chris.
