Missy Elliott To Release Two New Singles over Labor Day Weekend
Can you believe it has literally been seven years since Missy Elliott’s last full length album? The Cookbook, which spawned the hit single “Lose Control” with Ciara and Fatman Scoop, really dropped way back in 2005. For those that have been jonesin’ for some new Missy solo music, though we have good news. Timbaland tweeted today that Missy will drop, not one, but two singles, “9th Inning” and “Triple Threat”, over Labor Day weekend. Missy then responded to Tim on Twitter to tell him that fans shouldn’t expect “shake ya ass music” but something more “futuristic”. We definitely can’t wait. There’s still no release date for her forthcoming album, tentatively titled Block Party (also potentially 9th Inning).
