DJ Khaled Feat. J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T. & Kendrick Lamar – They Ready

The release of DJ Khaled’s sixth album Kiss The Ring is less than a week away, and Funkmaster Flex gets the green light to debut a new song from the project, “They Ready” with J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T. and Kendrick Lamar. It’s a collection of the game’s newest (stereotypically labeled) thinking-man rappers doing what they do best — rapping, just to rap. Hopefully, this track showcases the fact that Cole, K.R.I.T., and Kendrick shouldn’t be pigeonholed into “smart” or “conscious” rap because they are gifted at a variety of styles. That’s Cole on the beat, as well.
