Miguel – Kaleidoscope Dream: Water Preview EP (Stream)

Miguel went the free mixtape route with this year’s three releases Art Dealer Chic 1, 2 & 3, and it looks like he’ll be doing something similar for his upcoming second album. The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter plans to release his sophomore effort Kaleidoscope Dreams in three parts, two EPs and then the full-length project which includes the songs on the EPs plus five other songs.

Miguel starts off this slightly confusing effort with Kaleidoscope Dreams: Water Preview,
which you can stream in full now over at SPIN. It includes the single “Adorn” which has already hit radio and will be available on iTunes on July 31st. The second EP Kaleidoscope Dreams: Air Preview (This guy must love The Last Airbender, huh?) will hit iTunes on September 11th, with the full final album set for an October 2nd release, all through Bystorm/RCA Records.

This is an interesting approach, and I think we’re all curious as to how this will work. All I know is this kid makes amazing music, and this EP, on first listen, is fantastic.
