DOJ To White House: We’re Doing Such An Awesome Job Seizing Domains We Need 5 Million More Dollars To Expand
Eric Holder wants to the American people to shell out 5 Million more dollars next year so the Dept. of Justice can continue to violate the Constitutional Rights of American citizens, attempt to extradite UK teenagers who run legal websites in their home country, save the jobs of 9 year olds in Asian sweatshops, protect the intellectual property of foreign companies who don’t even manufacture in the US, and make up the law as he goes. All under the guise of saving American jobs, the economy, and protecting us from bad baby food and smoke detectors. Wait…
Imagine my confusion as I look at the list of the 600+ domains seized and not seeing one baby food website or smoke detector website in the bunch. Maybe I missed it in all those luxury items made by foreign companies and US companies who don’t even manufacture in the US, or the mp3′s artists released themselves via their twitter accounts, or their labels sent out. No No No.. they’ve got to be by the illegal NFL streams they like to play at official industry parties put on by Major Label owned ventures. Right?
“We’ve had an increase in the number of cases that we’re dealing with in IP (intellectual property),” Deputy Attorney General James Cole told reporters. “We think this is an area that really needs some focus and some efforts and increases in the future.”
Apparently they want to hire 14 new employees, including nine attorneys, to focus on intellectual property crimes. Oh Oh I know.. they could always use the extra funds make more super dope Hollywood style propaganda videos.
At what point is the President
of Hollywood going to realize the American people don’t want this? That’s assuming he still works for the American people.
Perhaps they should focus on fixing what’s incredibly broken in their processes first before looking to increase and expand anything.
Just a thought.
Should Eric Holder’s DOJ get 5 Millie more to expand their copyright enforcement programs? Tell me in the comments.
