Hot 97's Summer Jam 2009 - Play By Play

I arrive in the building at 6:15. Show starts at 6:30.
Opening Up Summer Jam. Coming To The Stage - Day 26
Ehhhh.. They perform Stadium Music, Since You've Been Gone & Imma Put It On Her. Diddy couldn't even come out with them to hype up their 3 songs after he bribed someone to have them open the show. End of performance.
Next To The Stage - Pleasure P
Ehhhh again.. He comes out doing some shit I don't know then he goes into the Pretty Ricky shit, Hotline. He then performs Did U Wrong & Boyfriend # 2. End of performance. What a waste.
Next To The Stage - Serani & Mavado
Yea right!! I'm West Indian but damn if I know what the fuck they be saying. All I know for sure that I heard was No Games, On The Rock & So Special. End of performance.
Next To The Stage - Elephant Man
No idea people. All I know is he signalled like 30 different planes. Oh, he performed Nuh Linga. Thanks to Hot 97 playing that every hour, I learned it. End of performance.
Rain Scare....
As the rain comes down for like three minutes only, I turn to the left to see a guy with no blunt paper so he uses single & five dollar bills to roll up his weed. That's cool & all but that means he licked the dirty ass money. Then asked his girl for more money as she pulled out a few more singles. Crazy! Anyway...
Next To The Stage - The Dream
He does Shawty Is A Ten, Ditch That Nigga, Walking On The Moon, My Love & I Luv Ya Girl. He brings out Fabolous as they do Throw It In The Bag & hop into Rockin That Thang right after. End of performance.
The Host (I Guess)
Angie Martinez brings out "the host" Tracy Morgan. How's he the host coming out for the first time after five acts lol. Is jokes aren't what they used to be. I think it's because he doesn't drink anymore.
Next To The Stage - Jadakiss
He comes out to 2 Gunz Up (Mighty D-Block). He does Pain & Torture, Made You Look, All For The Love, By Your Side & Knock Yourself Out. He asks "Where my ladies at" as he brings out Jeremih to do Birthday Sex & I know that the ladies' panties got wet immediately as they screamed fucking with my ears. After he's done, Jadakiss comes back onto stage with D-Block as they do the chorus to Wild Out & the crowd gets a lil outta control. Styles P does a verse of Good Times (I Get High), Sheek does a verse of their new single Get That Paper & Jadakiss does a verse of Can't Stop Me. The dj puts on Conglomerate as Busta Rhymes & Spliff Star come out as Busta does his verse & Jadakiss follows with his verse. Jada then goes into a verse of We Gonna Make It & continues on with Letter To B.I.G. He brings out Swizz Beatz as he does the chorus to Swing Ya Rag & then they go into Who's Real. The crowd lost their mind a lil more than I expected. Shit was decent. Swizz spits OJ Da Juiceman's few bars & that's the end of the performance. I really thought that DMX was gonna come out. Oh well.
Next To The Stage - Mary J. Blige
I swear I seen her perform like ten times........I haven't complained once. Just seen her on two different nights when she went on tour with Jay Z last year at The Garden. Anyway, she comes out performing the chorus to Grown Woman. She goes into Love Is All We Need, I'm The Only Woman & Everyday It Rains. She then goes into You're All I Need & brings out Method Man. Mary walks off stage & Method Man brings out Redman & Saukrates to do A Yo & Rockwilder. Mary comes back out as she does Real Love, Love No Limit, MVP, Work That, Enough Cryin & Just Fine. End of performance. She's still ghetto as hell when she dances yet she's still dope. As she's walking off stage, the new single entitled The One featuring Drake was being played.
SIDEBAR: Tracy Morgan & Angie Martinez brought Mary out & Tracy said he made a few babies off her music & said that someone was getting pregnant in Ginats Stadium & that when the guys go in, that they shouldn't pull out. Crazy. I agree though lol.
Next To The Stage - Young Jeezy
He comes out & does Who Dat, Bottom Of The Map, Bang, Go Crazy, Trapstar, Soul Survivor & I Luv It. He brings out Drake to do Best I Ever Had & the crowd goes nuts. Jeezy comes back on & does his verse on Shawty Lo's "Dey Know". He then goes into Put On & brings out Jay Z. The crowd loses their mind, as do I. Jay Z does D.O.A. & as he does the hook, out walks T-Pain & they stand next to each other as the chorus plays out & he finishes th song. Jay Z, T-Pain & Jeezy all walk off stage as My President Is Black is being played. End of performance. Jay Z coming out was the highlight of the entire night even if someone dope comes on after me typing this.
Next To The Stage - T-Pain
He walks out with a huge platinum or white gold chain (you never know nowadays) that says "Big Ass Chain". He brings out his Nappy Boy crew as they do their remix of Young Money's "Every Girl". He goes into his verse off Keri Hilson's "Turnin Me On". He does his hook from Kanye's "Good Life" & his hook on Plies' song "Shawty". He finally does his own shit with Buy You A Drink. He goes into his verse on Unk's "Two Step" & he does the hook on Flo Rida's "Low". Him & his man dance on stage together like phuckin fools to Chris Brown's Kiss Kiss & plays Soulja Boy's Turn My Swag On but doesn't bring out Soulja Boy (so I have no idea why he played it). He does the hook on Lil Wayne's "Got Money" & says that he wants to play a game called "Name That Tune". He goes onto the keyboard & started playing a song. No one responded so he says "No one got it, it goes something like this" & sings Can't Believe It. The crowd gets into it a little because the past 3-4 minutes were dead. He plays All The Above as Maino walks out to do two verses of his single. (Ehh, the crowd went crazier last year when Alicia Keys brought him out to do "Hi Hater" but whatever). Maino walks off after as T-Pain asks the crowd, who has Nuvo as he does his verse & hook on Jamie Foxx's "Blame It". He then brings out Lil Kim as she does "Lighters Up". He cuts it off after her first verse and they perform "Download". After she exits, he does a freestyle over Pop Champagne & then does his verse on the remix of Arab Money. He brings out DJ Khaled as they play Out Here Grindin. Ace Hood comes out to do his verse & people in my area remained seated. For some reason they thought it was a good reason to let Ace Hood do another song as he continues on with his new single Overtime. Um, truthfully, this was kind of like an intermission as people went to the bathroom & to get drinks/food while he was on stage. Khaled continues to yell as they play I'm So Hood. Why did they play Trick Daddy's verse if he didn't come out? No fucking idea but after the first verse & hook were done, they got off the stage & left T-Pain on stage as he leaves us with a long boring speech about people hating him as he exits the stage.
NOTE: Ok, he's good at doing hooks but my issue with his show was that everytime he did the hook to the song, he would get part of the crowd hype & then he'd stop the song to move onto the next messing up everyone's rhythm. Not my fault that he has better hooks on other peoples songs than he has full hits of his own. I think he performed "I'm Sprung" but I don't remember. There was so much going on around me. This chick had just fainted a few seats over from me & mad security was in my section.
Next To The Stage - Jim Jones & Juelz Santana
Jim Jones walks out doing Love Me No More & then goes into Certified Gangstas. He does half a verse of Baby Girl & goes into Byrd Gang Money. A little boy comes out singing the hook of S.A.N.T.A.N.A. as Juelz walks out. They get into Santana's Town, Crunk Muzik, Oh Boy, Welcome To Jamrock, Make It Work For Ya & a few others. I stopped paying attention to the songs that were coming on because I got annoyed (as I did for the past three years) when I look at the stage & can't even tell who's who when there's 60-80 people on stage. Shit makes no sense. Why did they close the show again? Is it because they're from NY? Anyway they brought out Ryan Leslie to do Precious, Soulja Boy to do Turn My Swag On, Ron Browz to do Pop Champagne & DJ Webstar to do Dancing On Me. I left because I didn't care anymore to see anyone else that he could possibly bring out. I didn't think that Cameron Giles was coming out so I bounced & beat the crazy traffic that everyone told me they got caught in. Shouts to my E-Z Pass.
Hopefully I gave you enough of a break down like I did for Summer Jam last year. Peace.

Comedic and entertaining synopsis, sounds like there was some good performances even though a lot of it appeared to be a snooze fest.
Yea I was at Summerjam too. I think Jeezy and Jada did their thing. When Styles P did I get High, you can see all the smoke up in the air, which I contributed to also lol. Jeezy bringin out Drake was pretty sick too. But when T-Pain performed, alot of his shit was only hooks, which was a lil wack but still wasnt bad. As a dipset fan, I was very disappointed with their closure. How the fuck do you end Summerjam 09 with we fly high, everyone basically left before dipsets last song. For me, I was one of those optimistic people who thought Killa would come on stage with them and suprise everyone. Guess I was wrong and wasted my time. Highlight of the whole night was Jay-Z coming out. Jay-Z, Jeezy, and Jada were my favorite performers. Shouts to them and to the NMC as always.

splash i think ur right the highlight was jay-z and the rest was a waste. why do jim jones and juelz keep close they dont have a hit for like 2 yrs. t-pain is wack by himself so he betta give it up or make some hits on his own. not really a jada fan so for him N/A and jeezy & mjb killed but other than that boo!!
Lol...I wasnt there..I would have loved to see T pain and that so called "big ass chain"
