REMINISCE WITH THE CARTEL PT. ONE
I've been meaning to do this post for like two weeks but never had the time although I listened to them everyday since I thought of doing so. Anyway, having no idea of who visits this site, I have no clue on when you started listening & appreciating hip hop & r&b. The New Music Cartel knows everyone of these songs & we all know what was going on when we first heard these songs on a mixtape or on radio. There are a bunch of different reasons in why I decided to post these. HipHop/R&B collabos were so tough back then (not like now). Some of you may not be familiar with these songs & if you are familiar then you may not have them in your ipod or catalog. I feel a certain way inside (pause) when I hear anything from the 90's so I figure why not put you into the zone that I get into when I hear it. Shouts to DJ Envy, DJ Clue, Jadel & Rello, DJ L-Gee & the homie DJ Keyz (Ness) because those were dj's I ran with daily in this era. Anyway, let's get into it.... NOTE: These are not blends! They're official. What does Lil Wayne say........oh yeah.... IT'S THE REMIX BAAAAAABYYYYYYY!!!!!

If you think that I left songs off, well this is why I put "pt. one" as the title. I wasn't trying to go to mainstream with certain songs & I let 2001 be my cut off year. Some were played heavy on air & some were only on mixtapes unless Mr. Cee (Hot 97 NY) played it on his show, "Old School at Noon". Part two will arrive in a few days. Stick around if you care!

This drop is much appreciated...sometimes you gotta take it back to how cats used to really put it down. Props.
